Introduction To The Bit Bank

After searching relentlessly for Bits for our many equine companions, we realised that there was no opportunity to try Bits before committing to the right one!

So, we created Ireland’s first second-hand Bit Bank and Bit Rental Scheme.

How Does The Rebooted Bit Bank Work?

With so many factors to consider: size, thickness, rollers, rings, etc etc, choosing the right Bit can be a tricky process!
In line with our mission to remove barriers to participation, we are building a collection of Bits so you can find the perfect fit for your horse, without spending a fortune.

THE REBOOTED BIT BANK METHOD

Choose and purchase a Bit from our stock.
Your Bit will be sent in new or good used condition.
Your 30-day trial begins on the date stated on the invoice.
Try out your new Bit with your horse!
If you love your new Bit and want to keep it, just let our team know. If we don't hear from you by the time your 30-day trial elapses, we will assume you are happy with your Bit and it is yours to keep.
If your Bit isn't quite right, simply return it to us in the same condition it was delivered, preferably via recorded delivery, and you will be refunded the purchase amount, minus a small hire charge.
Hire charges are outlined in the table below.

If you prefer, you can buy the Bit without a trial, just let us know when you add it to the basket.

Please note: if you would like a specific size or make, it may take some time for the Rebooted Bit Bank to source it.
Please be patient with your request, or plan for delays if possible.

Bit Bank Policies

30-Day Trial

Once the Bit arrives with you, it is your responsibility to take good care of the Bit. Please make sure that the Bit is kept in good condition throughout the trial period.

The date of the trial period starts on the date stated on the invoice in the postage package; and the date by which the Bit must be returned to the Rebooted Bit Bank will be stated, and will be approximately 30 days after the invoice date.

You cannot request a refund for the Bit after the 30-day trial has elapsed.

Returns

You are responsible for keeping the Bit safe from theft and loss. As such, it is recommended that Bits be returned using a recorded and insured delivery method.

Return postage costs are paid by the customer.

Rebooted Bit Bank cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage in the post when being returned.

Health & Sanitation

If you decide that you want to return the Bit, please make sure that you clean it thoroughly with warm water only.
Once returned, we will thoroughly clean and disinfect all bits to kill any germs and bacteria.

It is recommended that you thoroughly clean and disinfect the Bit yourself again upon purchase, as an extra precaution.

Rebooted Bit Bank cannot be held responsible for any diseases, infections, viruses, mouth sores, ulcers or any other medical condition that appears after trialling one of the Bits from the Rebooted Bit Bank.
